Triumph announces Speed Triple RX

Triumph announces Speed Triple RX

ABSOLUTE FOCUS. ABSOLUTE PRECISION. ABSOLUTE CONTROL.
THE NEW, LIMITED EDITION TRIUMPH SPEED TRIPLE 1200 RX

When Triumph puts out a limited edition, you know it’s going to be something special. And with only 1,200 units available worldwide, the new Speed Triple 1200 RX is exactly that. A razor-sharp, track-hungry evolution of the iconic Speed Triple line, this is the most focused version ever – stripped for purpose, loaded with tech, and finished with premium, motorsport-grade details.

TRACK-READY ERGONOMICS
First things first: the riding position means business. The RX swaps out the RS’s bar setup for clip-ons and a machined top yoke that are 69mm lower and 52mm further forward, putting your weight right where it should be – over the front wheel. The pegs are also 14.5mm higher and 25.5mm further back, for maximum ground clearance and an aggressive stance that’s made for carving up corners.

ÖHLINS SMART SUSPENSION, LEVELLED UP
The RX doesn't just talk precision – it delivers. The already-excellent Öhlins Smart EC3 electronic suspension now works in harmony with a new Öhlins SD EC steering damper. Every part of this semi-active system is designed to read the road, respond instantly, and give you the exact damping you need, exactly when you need it – from track-day madness to fast road carving.

A VOICE LIKE NO OTHER
The Akrapovič silencer, fitted as standard, isn’t just about sound – although yes, it’s glorious. It’s a lightweight titanium unit with a carbon fibre end cap, laser-etched logo, and a free-flowing design that boosts performance and drops mass. It’s part of a wider exhaust update that centralises weight and makes the most of that epic engine note.

183PS OF TRIPLE-POWERED FURY
Triumph’s 1160cc triple engine is the real star of the show here. It belts out 183PS at 10,750rpm and 128Nm of torque at 8,750rpm, with a relentless surge that’s both smooth and savage. It combines the low-end punch you love with a screaming top-end that just keeps going. That’s Moto2 DNA at work, and it shows. And thanks to a dynamic crankshaft balancing system, it’s refined, too – free from annoying buzziness and full of usable, grin-inducing drive.

STYLE WITH SUBSTANCE
The RX isn’t just fast – it looks fast. Decked out in Triumph Performance Yellow with exclusive graphics and carbon fibre bodywork, it’s a real head-turner. The RX-specific rear wheel even gets a yellow accent, just in case the rest of the bike wasn’t eye-catching enough. There’s also a sculpted seat embossed with the RX logo, helping you move around with ease when you’re hanging off in the corners.

SHARP, LIGHT, AND LOADED
Despite packing in serious hardware, the RX weighs in at just 199kg wet. That’s thanks to a lightweight frame, new lightweight wheels, and a lithium-ion battery. The aluminium twin-spar frame, revised rear subframe, and single-sided swingarm all keep things stiff, purposeful, and beautifully balanced.

RIDE THE WAY YOU WANT
Tech-wise, the RX is loaded. It comes with five riding modes – Rain, Road, Sport, Track, and Rider (custom) – all tied into a six-axis IMU that informs Cornering ABS and Traction Control. There’s Front Wheel Lift Control, Brake Slide Assist, Engine Braking Control, Triumph Shift Assist (up and down quickshifter), and even fully adjustable cruise control.

The 5-inch TFT display is crisp, bright, and controlled via a backlit joystick and intuitive menus. Plus, the My Triumph Connectivity System is standard, giving you turn-by-turn nav, music control, and more.

NEW ZEALAND PRICING
Triumph has confirmed that the RX will be available globally, with deliveries starting from June 2025. However, New Zealand pricing is still to be confirmed. With just 1,200 bikes in the world, though, expect serious interest – and move fast if you want to get your name on one.

A TRUE COLLECTOR’S MACHINE
Whether you're a track day fanatic, a Speed Triple purist, or just someone who appreciates finely crafted machinery, the RX is a serious proposition. Focused, fast, and full of character, it's everything you want in a flagship naked bike – and then some.
