Beta RC 450 Confirmed for New Zealand: The Off-Road All-Rounder Arrives

Beta Motorcycles New Zealand has confirmed that the highly anticipated 2025 Beta RC 450 is headed for Kiwi shores. Previously available only in the United States, this race-ready cross-country machine will soon be available in limited numbers, with the first units landing in June 2025. Pricing is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

Built for riders who demand versatility, the RC 450 is based on the proven RX 450 motocross platform, but with a host of off-road-ready upgrades. It’s been fine-tuned for the rigours of bush racing and moto track riding alike — a true do-it-all four-stroke designed for New Zealand conditions.

Off-Road Focused, Race Ready

The RC 450 retains the aggressive performance DNA of its RX cousin but comes equipped with:
• A larger 9-litre fuel tank for longer rides
• 18-inch rear wheel for better off-road grip
• Handguards, Race model tank panels, and a formed plastic skid plate
• A durable o-ring chain

Underneath, the RC 450 features a Chro-Moly single tube frame with an aluminium rear subframe, Nissin brakes, and premium suspension courtesy of KYB: a 48mm closed cartridge fork up front and a 50mm rear shock with a rising-rate linkage system.

The electric start and lightweight lithium battery mean easy ignition every time, and the easy-pull diaphragm clutch lets riders fine-tune feel and engagement to their liking. Add in traction control and an ignition map switch, and the RC 450 can be tailored for a wide range of terrain and skill levels.

Versatility is Key

With its blend of motocross precision and cross-country stamina, the RC 450 hits a sweet spot for Kiwi riders who split their time between fast trails, technical bush loops, and weekend moto events. It’s not just a bike — it’s a solution for riders who want one machine that can do it all.

Availability

The 2025 Beta RC 450 will be available in limited numbers only, so riders keen to secure one are encouraged to contact their local Beta dealer as soon as possible.
